Perennial Joys

Perennial Joy is a perennial favorite! A neighborhood oasis hiding in plain sight. Joy’s plants thrive. Every visit is a discovery; every conversation an education. If you’re ever feeling blue, swing by to be reminded how beautiful blue can be—and red, and yellow, and white, and on and on!

WOW! This perennial paradise did not disappoint!!! Gorgeous, fragrant, affordable perennials right here in Fort Collins! It’s a one woman show- she puts her heart and soul into providing pops of flowering joy for our community!!!

We were very saddened and disappointed with Joy's attitude and just plain unfriendlyness. We were excited to start a new garden and went in with high expectations of buying from someone local and thought that the "little old lady" selling out of her home would be perfect! From the moment we got there, we found joy to be VERY "Joyless" and VERY unfriendly... We left with a very bad and disappointed taste in our mouths... Because we were so set on getting about 10 plants, we did end up purchasing 2 plants for a price which seemed high, but in truth, we didn't know about plant prices.. The next day we ended up going to another local AND MUCH FRIENDLIER owner, bought about 10 more plants and have been happy ever since... Our vote is to stay away from rude shop owners and strongly DO NOT recommend Perennial Joyless...

Stroopwafel’s Plant Store Reviews - 06 (These reviews mainly focus on houseplants) As you may be able to tell from the name of this store, it supplies perennials, rather than houseplants. They do have some interesting looking sedums, which I grow as houseplants even though they’re perennial. Not sure how it ended up on my list of stores to visit, haha! Every plant was healthy. There was a good variety of columbines, stonecrops, garden peonies, ice plants, and more. The prices were low. For reference, at the time of writing, they had columbines in 1 gal pots for $12, while Walmart and Home Depot had packages of columbine rhizomes for $20 (rhizomes take longer to establish than live plants). Since Perennial Joys doesn’t focus on houseplants, the following points aren’t negatives, they’re just things to keep in mind. Perennials are planted straight into the ground, so there aren’t any pots or soil. The whole store is full of plants, so no tools, fertilizers, amendments, or other supplies. Perennial Joys has set the bar for labeling/identification. Every plant is labeled with the scientific name, cultivar, common name, blooming period, bloom color, height, width, light requirements

We at Rocky Mountain Lawn & Landscape have been acquiring our perennials from Joy since we discovered her a few years ago. Her meticulous daily care of each plant results in beautiful healthy flora. We highly recommend this fellow small (woman owned) business. Joy's thumb is as green as they come!
